The Secretary Treasurer is responsible for keeping the finances of the local in order. Some of their duties include keeping record of member payments, ensuring all deposits are processed via a bank or credit union, maintaining, signing cheques, organizing and safeguarding supporting documents, authorizations, invoices and/or expense claims, recording all financial transactions, presenting financial reports at membership meetings, preparing books for audits and notifying members of payment arrears. The Secretary Treasurer also acts as Chairperson of the Budget Committee.
